Professional Health and Wellness

Research has demonstrated how work stress can impact our physical, social and psychological well-being, having a negative impact on career and personal life.

Numerous factors contribute to elevated stress among nurses, medical students, residents and physicians. Prioritizing the needs of others over our own commonly results in psychological distress and imposter syndrome. If left unaddressed, imposter syndrome builds an inaccurate assessment of self which affects professional identity, lowers professional fulfillment and increases the chances of experiencing burnout, anxiety and depression.

By working together, we can equip you with the tools to navigate work stress, manage anxiety symptoms and tackle impostor syndrome by learning how to reframe thoughts and recognize accomplishments.

The mental health stigma that prevails in medicine often prevents us from reaching out for support. However, allowing self-compassion and vulnerability in a safe, trustworthy environment can have a significant impact on your overall physical and emotional well-being and those that you care for.

I am available to educate and train medical providers, social workers and psychotherapists on the psychological aspects of those living with a chronic disease, end stage organ failure and organ transplant surgery.

My focus
